Blanky Time

Another favorite time of night for Adrie besides bath time is blanky time. About an hour before she goes down she starts to get fussy, so to make that hour go by a little smoother we give her her blanky. At first she'll just lay on it and rub her face all over it and then she likes to play peek-a-boo with it or as we like to call it "Where's Adrie....There she is".

Floaties!

Janelle gave Adrie her first swim lesson with floaties today. Adrie wasn't too sure about these big green things on her arms, but played along for a little while. Just long enough to get some cute pics and a video. Speaking of floaties, for those of you who don't know, which I am sure most of you do. Janelle's floating device is about to pop. She's due on the 8th of September (not soon enough) and her baby's name is Cairo and is a girl. Can't wait to love and hug on her. Hang in there big mama!

Bathtime Fun

Adrie is crazy during bath time. Sometimes I can sit by the tub and read a book, but most of the time I am busy telling Adrie to sit down, keeping her away from the faucet and trying to keep her from draining the tub by pulling the plug. Here is a video of her in the tub and just a taste of our nightly routine.

Mom's Legs

Adrie has been using all of her toys to help her walk and has recently decided that mom's legs served the same purpose. She'll climb up the back of my legs and will take steps behind me as I walk. What a funny kid.

Bucket Head Buds

Sydney and Adrie had a play date the other day while Janelle went to the grocery store ALONE and London went to play at a friend's house. Sydney thought is was so funny to put a bucket on Adrie's head and they both cooperated for a bucket head picture. Too cute.

Precious Moments

These are the moments I live for. Adrie is so cute and peaceful when she sleeps. Although she is so much fun while she is awake, I love to watch her sleep.

Snack Time!

Adrie eats everything. She loves snack time which happens about twice every day. She loves to eat. Her favorite snack is cheese and crackers, but has recently tried Cheerios (thanks Michelle) and loves them. She feeds herself snack which I love and it gives me time to do whatever needs to be done. All while keeping a close eye on her of course.

Bath Time With Daddy

Conan helped me out by giving Adrie a bath the other night and she was making so many funny noises that I just had to video her. She loves the sound of her own voice and will often scream, shout, growl or just make funny noises to entertain herself and us.

Potty Training Denial

So I finally took a picture of Adrie on the potty. She has been using the potty for #2 since the middle of July. At first it was to avoid cleaning the bathtub every night since this seemed to be her favorite place to go at the time. Now every time she looks like she starts to go I run her to the bathroom.......but I am not potty training her. This is what I have said for weeks, but now that I have started this I can't stand changing poopy diapers. How crazy am I for potty training my 8 month old? Well it works for #2 and I guess #1 will come later. Oh, how she's going to love me later for posting a picture of her on the lou!

Fun at the Zoo!

Today we went with Janelle and her girls to the Oakland Zoo. It was very fun to see the animals and to watch the girls having so much fun together. Adrie loved playing in the tortoise shell, Lundi enjoyed riding the rides, Syd was just Syd, and Janelle and I just about peed our pants from laughing so hard at the giraffe trying to get a drink. Too funny. Janelle's friend Angie and her girls went too and were actually the ones who invited us. Thanks to all for a great time. If you listen closely during the gibbon monkey video you can hear it whooping. The kids thought it was fun to whoop along.

Goofy Grin

So Adrie has 4 teeth now. Her grin is so funny because she has two teeth on the bottom and two on the top that are spread apart. She looks like Goofy. It is hilarious!

8 Month Chair Pics

Yes it is true. 8 Months old! I can't believe it. Each month goes by with lightning speed anymore. Adrie is huge. Here are some of the fun things she does: claps, giggles, eats anything and everything, says ma-ma and da-da, crawls everywhere, cruises the furniture, walks while holding your fingers, she still loves her blanky and thumb, and she has 4 teeth. Every day she learns something new. She is very head strong and independent. She loves life and we love watching her grow.

Adrie loves her da-da more than anyone and when she gets tired there's no place she'd rather be than on his lap with her blanky and thumb...paradise.

Carrot Face

So I know it seems like all I blog anymore is Adrie and her dirty food face. It's so cute I just can't help it. She still sucks her thumb to help the food go down and unfortunately she likes to wipe her hands all over her face and head. Just try cleaning her in the middle of her meal and she screams like you wouldn't believe. So she just gets to be dirty and go around with a stained carrot face. Too cute!

Cruisin' Machine!

We ate dinner at the Bradfords last night and Adrie was playing with their walker/bike which of course was too cute.

If You're Happy and You Know It...

Adrie loves to clap now. It took her 2 days of me singing "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands". She caught on really quick and even claps if we say "Yeah" or even if she wants to make us smile. Sometimes she'll even clap after she does something naughty which makes it hard to tell her no-no Adrie. Enjoy!

Adrie Hearts Carrots!

So we try new foods about every 3 days or so and Adrie's favorite so far is carrots. She has tried oatmeal, peas, yams, squash (not her fav), potatoes and zucchini. She loves to eat that is for sure.

Cutie Girl

My Uncle Stef bought Adrie this dress at a yard sale and it's my most favorite outfit right now. I would put it on her every day if I could. She's too cute.
