15 Month Pics

Adrie is getting more and more easy to read. She communicates so much better now and her tantrums are getting to be less and less. This is good news people since her very first tantrum was when she was 9 months old. She gets so excited when we understand what she is trying to communicate and will just giggle and giggle when we get it right. She's too cute. She says a ton of words and is starting to learn colors. Her colors she can say so far are purple and yellow. Also she fell in love with Dora the explorer this month and Elmo as well she calls them Dori and Momo. She says thank you and your welcome and will say bless you after she or someone else sneezes. She also does "fin...noggin'...dude" off of Finding Nemo. She always has us in stitches and loves to make us laugh. Anyhow, I may have said this before, but I think we're getting closer to being ready for #2. We just have to get a house first. Wish us luck on that one. PS.Adrie hates Santa and now the Easter Bunny.

Happy Easter!

We had a couple of Easter celebrations. With the family we did an Easter/Birthday celebration combination and Adrie had her first Easter egg hunt. She loved it. On Easter I came home from working the night before and we gave Adrie her Easter basket. She had fun taste testing her peeps and Reeses peanut butter bunny. Next Conan hid her eggs and we let her find them. She had so much fun. She even got to taste test her eggs. She wasn't sure at first, but she soon figured out that it tasted okay. Then we rushed off to church. It was a fun day. Notice her dress. I ordered it from Carly off of etsy for christmas. It is still a little big, but went well with tights and an under shirt since it is still cold outside. Thanks Carly for making such a cutie dress. Everyone loved it!

Easter Preparations

Adrie has a good day making Easter cards and decorating Easter eggs. It is so fun to watch her little hands work as she colors and puts stickers on things. She is getting more and more fun everyday.

All Things Big!

So I'm a little behind on pics of Adrie. Here she is being goofy in Daddy's shoes and these enormous glasses. She'll do pretty much anything to get a laugh. She loves to climb up in her big rocker and rock away.

It's All Good!

So come to find out the person who out bid us on our dream home is my co-worker that works on day shift. Shinkin' small town anyhow. Oh, well she is such a hardworker and has twin boys and a husband whom she supported through law school. She soooo deserves it and it's good to know the house is going to a good family. So I guess I'll have to stop praying that their contract falls through since that's what I was hoping would happen before I knew it was them. Heee heee! Congrats Tracy and family!

House Update

So I went from being really anxious, to disappointed, to I just don't care anymore and am going to live with my parents for the rest of my life. We saw a house last week and put an offer down because it was our favorite house so far. We loved it and it felt soooo right. Well we got out bid and never had a counter offer so we lost out. Oh, well I'm sure the perfect house will come along soon.

Feeling a Little Bit Anxious!!!

Okay people so I never post about myself because I am boring. However, I thought I'd share the anxieties I've been feeling lately. We are now shopping for a house and have been living with my parents for nearly 6 months. Can you believe it has already been that long since our move from California? I hardly remember living there life has been so crazy hectic here. So we were ready to put a contract on a house and the selling Realtor had someone else in contract with this house unannounced to us. Boo hoo, but it was obviously not the house God has planned for us. Since this happened like 2 weeks ago we have looked at 3 houses and will be looking at the fourth tonight. I feel like there hasn't been any one house that has felt perfect for us and am unsure I'll ever get that feeling. It's always budget vs size vs remodeling vs people think there houses are worth more than they really are. I am lucky I'm not bald at this point. I don't want to settle for something that will work for right now, but I don't want to feel strapped each month buying a house to grow into. Interest rates are low right now and the business is doing good so hopefully it all works out. Conan says I may have to go full time at work for a while which I don't want to do. I work 2 12 hour shifts/week by working 4 nights on and 10 days off. At this time it works perfect for me, but in a year I was planning on going per diem and trying for baby #2....that clock is ticking. I really have enjoyed my time with Adrie since we moved home and don't want to have to give that up if Conan's practice doesn't take off. Deep Breath! So needless to say I've been a little stressed and on edge lately and am constantly telling myself that God is in control and that I should "be anxious for nothing". But I am! Well, thanks for reading and I hope all is well with all. I feel much better now.
