Good Ol' P-Town
Well we made it. We are officially Oregonians again. I just unpacked the last box today and it feels good to finally be moved in. My parents are super happy to have Adrie here now. My dad crawls around the house "racing" Adrie. They have been a big help already. We are ready to get on a schedule so that we can get out of the house once in a while. The plan is still to wait on working until January. Today Conan went hunting and as you all can imagine he was in heaven. I don't have all of the details, but he did get something. Thank goodness because I think that means he is done since he filled his tag. We shall see. He starts his internship on Monday. Wish us luck.

Heart Walk
So the morning after my going away party Conan, Adrie and I loaded up and went for a 3 mile heart walk. Adrie wasn't too happy to be in the stroller for that amount of time and would have rather walked it herself. It was a good time and a great start to the morning. I had tons of energy the rest of the day and worked my booty off packing boxes. Oh, how I miss working out.
Going Away Party!
My good friend from work Lindsay put on a going away party for me with my co-workers. Or ex-co-workers I should say...sad. It was a lot of fun and I am greatful to have had such wonderful people to work with. Thanks to all of you who were able to come and join the fun. And for those of you who had to work I'll miss you. Hopefully we will be able to see everyone when we come back for graduation in November. Thanks again for the party.
Adrie's New Toy
Why Do I Even Try?
In this video Adrie is busting out of her room. I attempted to block her in her room while I was putting a blanket together for my friends baby. As you can see it didn't work very well.
Temper Tantrum
What a little stinker Adrie can be. She was throughing this temper tantrum because I took away her daddy's cell phone. I can just see her grocery store tantrums now. Wish me luck.
Boo to the Flu!
For the last few days Adrie has been suffering from the stomach flu. She has multiple NASTY diapers a day and just has no energy. She is getting better though. We have her on soy formula to help with stomach cramping and the BRATT diet. She has had her fair share of saltine crackers and cherrios. Poor baby. This is a pic of her crashed on the floor. She put herself to sleep with a random blanket and stuffed toy because her blanky was in the wash. She was so cute. It was sad though because we knew she wasn't feeling well.
Where a Kid Can Be a Kid!
At the beginning of the week Conan and I took London, Sydney and Adrie to Chuck e Cheese's. We had a blast with the girls and stuffed them with pizza and cotton candy. On the ride home they were wired and cracking us up wearing our glasses. What fun girls they are.

Park Playdate
Yesterday we met our friends Hollie and Hillary at the park near Rivermark for a fun playdate. They played together in their strollers, in the swings and on the slide. They seemed to have a great time together and it was nice to have some adult time for Hollie and I too. Thanks for the great playdate girlies.

Baby Cairo!!
Baby Cairo was born on the 12th at 8:54pm and was 7lbs 6oz and 20 inches long. Janelle and Brandon's tiniest baby yet. She looks a lot like Sydney when she was born and even sounds like Sid when she cries. All I know is that this little bundle is going to make it 10 times harder leaving San Jose. We have just over a week left to finish packing and already I am an emotional mess. I wish we could just take the Bradfords with us. I can't imagine life without them after being so close to their family and going through so much with them the last 3 years. We'll be taking "family vacations" to see them multiple times a year if I have my way. Boo hoo! I love you baby Cairo and Bradford Bunch too.

Adrie's 9 Month Appt.
Today was Adrie's 9 month check up. She is in the 50-75th percentile for weight and for head circ. and length she is just under 90th percentile. Big girl. Sydney joined us for the morning in hopes of giving Janelle time to rest before her induction today. Which I am still waiting patiently to hear whether or not baby Cairo is here yet. I must say I am losing patience very quickly and am tempted to drive to the hospital to see for myself. Grrrr!
Blanky Addict
There is no keeping blanky from Adrie these days. She's ADDICTED. She disappears into her room and will work until she pulls her blanket out of her crib. Little stinker. So much for "blanky time" being my decision. Adrie now gets to decide when she gets blanky. Not such a big deal, but along with the blanky comes the thumb and since she has blanky all the time she just lays around and sucks her thumb. Funny girl. If her blanky gets stuck in her crib she'll just stand there and suck her thumb while rubbing blanky on her face. I can't help but laugh at her. She's so cute.
...No Seriously...Where's Adrie?
Don't turn your back for 2 seconds on this little girl or she'll be gone. She loves crawling under my bed and laughs at me when I have to struggle to get her out. Her latest hiding place is under our table. The only problem with that is there is a cord to the lamp and the baseboard heater down there which she loves to stick her fingers in. This is also a tough spot to get her out of. The other day I turned to grab something and when I turned back she was gone. I almost freaked because I couldn't hear her. She was under the table playing with the lamp cord. Little stinker. She knows when she is being naughty too. What am I to do? She's quicker than me and sometimes I think smarter too. Wish me luck.....no, pray for me.

Yada Yada

Okay, so I'm going to try to start a book club if anyone is interested. I have no idea how one of these is run, but I think it will be fun. I just got ahold of this book which is #1 in a series of I think 6 or 7. I know everyone is busy and that with kids it takes forever and a day to get 1 page read, but if anyone wants to be a part of my book club just comment. If no body comments that's okay too and I'll just be part of my own book club. Ha ha! I'm already half way through this one and it is pretty good. It is a Christian fiction book and is an easy read. I ordered it used off of barnes and nobels website. I'm sure the library has it too. Let me know if anyone is interested and we'll get it going. Happy reading.
Mac 'n' Cheese
Adrie's latest fav is Mac 'n' Cheese. She does a pretty good job of feeding herself and will eat an entire bowl if we let her. We try to only give her a tablespoon or two with her meal so that she'll actually eat something nutritious. It is so nice that she is able to feed herself. Even if she does get it all over. Good job A.
Adrie + Packing Tape = :(
Adrie tries to be a big helper with packing but most of the time ends up making a big mess with the packing paper. She likes to stand at the boxes and hit them as she screams and growls. Everytime I finish with a box and bust out the tape Adrie screams bloody murder. I think the sound of the tape unrolling must hurt her ears or scare her or something. I hate to see her scared and crying, but it is too funny. So I did it on purpose so that I could tape her and share it with all of you. Sorry A.

Adrie's 9 Month Pics
Yes it is true Adrie is 9 months old. I can't believe it. Crazy. She is growing so fast and doing new things everyday. She always has Conan and I on our toes and in stitches because she is so crazy and funny. I'll try to list some of the things she is up to.
She sucks her thumb more than usuall
Would love to just lay around all day and cozy with blanky if we let her
Crawls really fast
Cruises the furniture
Stands at her toys
Walks/runs while holding our hands
Swings at the park
Slides down the slide at the park
Loves her stroller
Prefers her sippy to her bottle during the day (nice for us)
Has 4 goofy teeth
Says Ma-ma, Da-da, Goy-goy, Nummy nummy
She growls and hollers really well
Is very impatient (can't wait for food when she's hungry)
Has quite the temper (don't take anything away from her)
Loves to feed herself snack and meals
She loves bananas, teething biscuits, wagonwheel snacks, graham crackers, club crackers, cheese, noodles, Mac 'n' cheese, cold water from her sippy. We still feed her homemade babyfood and she loves chicken, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, fruit mixtures, carrots, basically everything that goes in her mouth. Not a picky eater.
All and all Adrie is a great baby and has been so fun to watch grow. We are excited to be moving home at the end of the month to be able to be with family. They deserve to watch her grow first hand rather than on the computer screen I know her grandparents are super excited for her to be coming home soon. Wish me luck on the 17 hour drive home. :)

Last Day of Work
My last day of work was last Friday. It was a crazy but good day. I enjoyed spending the day with some of my favorite co-workers for the last time. It was bitter sweet and almost emotional. I am going to miss El Camino Hospital and all of my nursing and doctor friends on 6West. Thanks to everyone for making the last 3 years so great. Time definately flew. I can't believe it is over already. I will always remember my first nursing job on 6West and will cherish the years spent there. I'm gonna miss you all.
Daddy Days
Adrie enjoys her days with her Daddy. He was able to catch some video of her being funny on the rug while he was cleaning. Part of Adries day is dedicated to chewing on her teething toys so he took some pics of her doing that. Not too exciting, but she is cute anyhow. My only question is......does he ever get her dressed?
Adrie's Park Adventures
Adrie loves the park. Her favorite thing is the swing though she loves to climb up the slide and slide down. She isn't too sure about Froggy, but will sit on him for a little while. She also likes to hold our hands and walk around. Such a big girl.
Janelle's Shower
I am finally able to sit down and do some blogging. It has been a crazy last week and a half. Here is a slide of the baby shower I threw for Janelle. It was fun. Not too many of her friends could make it considering I was really smart and planned the party for Labor Day weekend. Oooops. It was still a good time though. Most everyone brought their kiddos and they all played and had a blast. London and Sydney were very helpful with opening presents and Michelle's boy Markie loved the chocolate fountain.....as did I. Most of the babies pooped out by the end of the party. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I had a blast. Thanks to Michelle who helped with the games and Veda for the chocolate fountain (yummmmmm). Now hurry up and get here baby Cairo.
