Homeschoolin'

The past couple of days I have been thinking about homeschooling Adrie. I've considered the pros and cons and am not sure yet how I feel about it. I think I may start with preschool at home and then decide later if I'll enroll her in school or not. I've thought about it here and there since she was born, but after talking to a nurse at the pediactric office about "mandatory vaccines" I thought I needed to think about it more seriously. I was told that in order to be able to go to school that A.A will need to get a Hep A vaccination. Now we aren't completely anti-vaccines...yet, but there are vaccines that we don't feel necessary for our daughter and haven't given her. And this is one of them. I don't really like to be told that I have to do something or else, especially when it comes to my kid. So I am now looking into homeschooling and will see what I find out. So far the pros outweigh the cons, but we will just have to see.

Funny

While looking at blogs I saw Carly's blog and remembered this funny clip from Ellen's show a few months back. I laughed so hard my sides and face hurt. Laughing like that is such good therapy.

I Just Had To!

How cute is this little guy! As ALL BOY as he is he just can't help himself when it comes to Adrie's strollers and high heals. I love you Tugg-a-mugga!

One Down One Million to Go

So I couldn't get the pics organized how I wanted but you get the idea. The wall started off beige and then we colored over that with "Dapper" a purple-blue-gray color. After that dried for a couple of days Conan and I tried our hand at the faux painting technique ragging. Note to self....no more husband wife painting projects. It's just too stressful. It didn't turn out and we had to paint over it with dapper again. A few days later I tried it again only changing our technique a little and came out with a cloudy look which is kinda what I was going for, but not exactly. It was impossible not to get lines. Grrrr! I didn't care though because I was done painting at this point. So we moved Adrie's furniture back in and she slept in her own room in her big girl bed last night and did great. Thank heavens. Now I'm on to my next project. Hope it goes smoother than this one did.

Funny Valentine

We were up early on Valentine's Day and off to the 3 cities to enjoy the Playhouse Disney show. Adrie had crazy bed head as she does every morning (baby Einstein as we like to call her) but cleaned up nicely. Some friends of ours met us there for some yummy lunch at none other than Red Robin and we were off to the show. Adrie loved it she kept yelling "open that curtain...please". Once Mickey came on stage she said, "Mickey no come get you" and from then on she was able to enjoy the show. We weren't sure how she would do considering she is deathly afraid of our high school mascot "Bucky". She did good and it was a fun day. We gave her an ID bracelet that was forgotten in her closet from her birthday...oops and she loved it of course.
