BooGer

Hope this doesn't make anyone sick. If you are easily nauseated by gross stories stop reading now. A few weeks ago I caught Adrie "tasting" a booger. I nearly lost my lunch. I understand that every kid has to go through this stage. In fact I remember being young and having my mom tell me that if I ate my boogers that worms would grow in my tummy. So as I tried not to gag I explained to Adrie that we don't eat our boogers, that they are gross and go in a Kleenex or to give it to mommy. We don't eat them! Well, when she sucks her thumb a lot of times her little finger wanters up her little nose and pulls out a little boogie. So what does she do with it? Exactly what I told her to she runs to me saying "Booger" and holds her little finger up to me with what is usually a nasty sticky booger on it. And as I try not to gag I say thank you Adrie good job and run to the nearest box of Kleenex then to the sink to wash. Hey at least she isn't eating it. I think I may have to bring the Kleenex down to her level and teach her to put her booger in the kleenex then in the garbage. GAG!

LiFe

Lately I have been bogged down with depressing stories of a dad losing his wife before she gets to meet her baby girl, a couples daughter who is living with a debilitating diagnosis, a family losing their dad to cancer, and a family losing their mom to cancer. Praise God for my health! Though it is up in the air at this time I believe there is no more cancer in my body. Praise God that I have a healthy baby girl. She is such a huge blessing to me, I am grateful that God gave me the chance to be her mommy. And praise God that I have a healthy, strong, smart, wonderful, caring husband to share this journey with. For as long as I live on this earth until Jesus is ready to take me home I pray that I don't take a minute for granted. I hope each of you reading at some point has one of those moments where you feel like the luckiest person alive. We can't help the hand we are dealt in this life but we can choose to keep our focus on God and remember that he has a plan for each and every one of us. In His timing we will know all of the answers to the why questions. And until then may we keep on keepin' on and doing His will. God is good.

These Girls

These girls are always too cute. They crack me up every time they are together. I've even braved taking them to the grocery store together and I laughed the entire time. They sang Itsy Bitsy Spider all through the aisles and would clap for themselves and shout "YEA". Adrie started to sing Jesus Loves Me and when she was done she told Jojo...Clap! What fun girlies! Plus, it's so much easier with two. Sure they have their moments, but that's what siblings do and these two are the closest each have to a true sibling. Love 'em!

Happy Easter

What a fun Easter we had. We had a fun easter egg hunt and breakfast before church with the kids and grandparents. The kids were super cute in their easter clothes and they actually knew what they were doing when we were hunting easter eggs. It was done and over in minutes. So cute. Happy Easter everyone!

Tiny Dancers

Adrie and Jojo are in gymnastics together and are each doing very well. They have perfected the somersault and can do them just about any where. Megan's (Jojo) favorite time to do them is after ring around the rosy. Too cute. The had a fun hour of play the other day and were happy to perform while I video taped. Gotta love these girls.
