Merry Christmas Conan

So this year Conan told me he didn't want me to buy him a Christmas present. How could he? Well maybe he's on to something. I tend to overspend at times and our bank account isn't what it used to be....not that it was ever great. However, with me not working until January and his business not up and running yet, we have no business spending. So I thought I'd try my not so creative hand at making his first picture to go in his office. I probably should have had someone else design it.....Janelle, but then it wouldn't be as special. Merry Christmas Conan.

Christmas Letter and a BIG DUH Moment!

Here is our Christmas card and letter. I am running late this year and am running out of time and money. Being that stamps are practically 50 cents now and we are still not working, we figured we'd try to save a little. Hope you enjoy the letter and pics of Conan's graduation. Feel free to print it out if you wish. Merry Christmas to all. Oh and as for my duh moment. Cut and paste worked just dandy for this post. DUH!!!!

Season’s Greetings from the Fisher's

The year 2007 came and went with much happiness and hardship. It was a crazy year of raising a colicky baby, many visits from family and friends, losing my beloved Papa Bert, returning to work from maternity leave, raising a head strong baby, leaving our good friends to move to Oregon, Conan’s internship, Conan’s graduation, raising an independent baby, dealing with temper tantrums, being a stay at home mom, job interviews, living with my parents again and remodeling Conan’s office. Wondering all the while where the time goes now that I am a quarter of a century old, have been married for 3 ½ years and am raising a very busy 1 year old.

So as you can see we had quite the year and that’s just for starters. All in all we have become settled in our cozy hometown of Pendleton, Oregon and love being close to family. Though we miss our friends in California there is nothing like grandparents. Oh yeah, and free babysitting. Here’s what we are up to now….

Conan is currently working hard everyday trying to get his practice ready to open its doors by the end of January. He graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West on November 30th and is now officially Dr. Conan S. Fisher, D.C. I am so proud of him and his accomplishments. I look forward to seeing him bloom as a chiropractor and watching his practice grow. After 8 years of school all of his hard work will finally pay off.

As for me the year has been quite a blur. If I didn’t have the blog (http://www.fisherfam1.blogspot.com), my calendar, Adrie’s calendar, and pictures, I wouldn’t remember anything. I am currently a stay at home mom until the beginning of January. I then plan on going to work part time on night shift at St Anthony hospital. We’ll see how that goes. I’m just enjoying Adrie and every moment I get to spend with her before I go back to work. Boohoo!

Last but certainly not least…Miss Adrie. Where do I begin? She learns something new everyday and has grown so much in the last year. She began walking at 10 months and is now running mostly to escape getting dressed. She has 8 teeth and eats anything she can get her hands on. She says a handful of works such as yes, cracker, snack, hot, mommy (love it), da-da, gog (dog), duck and can bark like a dog, quack like a duck, blow kisses, wave, give hi-fives and go potty on the big girl potty. Developmentally she is very advanced both physically and mentally. Sometimes I feel like she is smarter than me. She loves bath time and would snuggle with her blanky all day if I let her. She loves to read books with mommy turning the pages herself of course, play blocks and roughhouse with da-da, play drums and piano with grammy and go on tractor rides with papa. And though not frequently enough she loves spending time with Grandma Carol and Grandpa Steve. What a fun girl she is.

I love my little family and am looking forward to what God has planned for 2008. I hope this letter finds all of you happy, healthy and blessed this holiday season. Here’s to a new year full of blessings and love.

Always, The Fisher Fam

Merry Christams To All

Here is a quickly put together Christmas card. I tried to get my letter to download to my blog, but couldn't get it to save as a file that was compatible. Any advice? If any of you want a copy of my Christmas letter get me your email address and I'll send it right out. I'll try to get my letter up, but it may not work and Lord knows I don't want to type it up again. Happy Holidays.

Adrie's 1 Year Pics/Fam Christmas Pic

Well here are a couple of pics taken of Adrie and the fam for Christmas and her first birthday. What a stressful day that was. We drove 70 minutes to JC Penny in Kennewick Wa because our Pennys doesn't have a portrait studio anymore. Pain in the rear. Adrie was short on a nap and patience and was hungary and fussy. She didn't smile the entire time so when I viewed the pics I hated them. I basically demanded retakes....nicely of course. Luckily they were able to take another dozen or so pics of her which were better, but still not great. I didn't get the retakes sent to me for some reason, but when I get them I'll try to scan them so that I can blog them. They are cute, but could have been better. Conan was a trooper and we were glad to get it done and out of the way. Never again will we be going there for pics. I hope.

Adrie and the Pinata

I'm sure the video is way long, but she had too much fun.

Now and Then

Yup she's a year. What a year it was. And I'll answer the question that is inevitably on at least one persons mind...NO I am not ready for #2. She is in such a fun stage right now. I'd hate to miss out on everything being sick all day from pregnancy. Give me another year or so. Here are some things Adrie is doing. Running, getting into everything(what's new), putting blocks in the right shaped hole, reading books, saying these words-dog, duck, yes, hot, wow, da-da, ma-ma, cracker, snack. She barks like a dog only at a whisper and quacks very loudly like a duck. She loves music and as always her blankets. Duty calls I'm sure she does much more, but I have to go give her a bottle which she is weening from. Give her about 2-3 weeks and she'll be a sippy only baby...I hope. Wish me luck. Oh yeah, she pees and poohs in the potty before, during, or after bath time and in the morning when she wakes up. Funny.

Gettin' Physical

Okay so my mom has the cutest Care Bear ever. She is a "workout" bear that someone got for my mom one year on her birthday. It sings "Let's get physical" and Adrie loves it. We put one of my mom's sweat bands on her head and were dying laughing. We hope this will inspire all to GET PHYSICAL!

Adrie's First Birthday

For Adrie's 1st birthday I chose a butterfly theme. It was too fun. She had lots of friends and family come and spoil her rotten. She got her very first rocking horse and her own cell phone (one of 1 million at this point) and her own set of keys. 1 going on 16 I swear. She had a ton of fun hitting her butterfly pinata with a wooden spoon and wasn't sure what to think about her cupcake. I'll try to get some videos up of her cupcake and pinata, but they are long and will take forever to upload. She cried when her pinata broke and when she found a single dollar bill in grandma's birthday card. It was her party and she cried if she wanted to. All in all she had a fun day, but I'm pretty sure she was like "What's all the fuss about?" Such a big and crazy girl. Big thanks to all those who came to the party but a big ginormous thanks to Hannah for helping me until 11 pm on Adrie's pinata and cupcake cake. Couldn't have done it alone.

She Really Does Look Like Me!!!

Either this is a crock or my child really does resemble me at least by 50%. After seeing this done on Janelle and Janae's blogs I decided to try. Afterall I always thought Adrie looked nothing like me. Woohoo!

Graduation Trip

Finally here are some pics of our trip to San Jose for Conan's graduation. The traveling was good on the way down there and we were able to celebrate Conan's accomplishments with family and friends. Just before we left Conan and I took mom to see "So You Think You Can Dance?" Loved it!!! We were able to spend some much needed time with the Bradfords and probably could have used some more being that when we got home I was on the phone with Janelle. Conan was like "Jay seriously...we just left her". The only bummer of the trip was the plane ride back to Portland. It was on the day of the hurricane winds and we were right in the middle of it. I thought we would crash. I was literally scared to tears. Adrie slept through the whole thing. We are back now safe and sound and ready to set up practice. Yea!

...And This Is What Ice Cream Does To Her

Need I explain? My kid is crazy.

5th Generation Pics

So here is a pic of my crazy family as well as a 5th generation pic with my gma Ardis. She is coming up on 90 I believe and is my great grandmother and Adrie's great-great grandmother. She gets around pretty well and loved visiting with the babies. Unfortunately my family got into a car accident in the motor home on the way up to the cabin and needless to say we were all in a state of shock at dinner. We weren't very good company, but the babies weren't phased a bit. With God's good graces no one was injured. Praise the Lord!

Cutest Darn Cabbage Patch Ever

How funny is it that my nephew looks just like a Cabbage Patch. On Thanksgiving day I was giving his dad a hard time about how Tugg wasn't playing with a doll...he was playing with his sister. Hee hee. JK Bry...JK.

Adrie's First Snow

At the begining of November we had a slight dusting of snow that was here and gone in one day. It was fun to see Adrie. She was super excited and hated going back inside. She loved the snow.

Adrie Being Silly

Adrie has such an adorable personality...most of the time. She does things that keep me in stitches all the day long. Here are some pics of her at her best. Enjoy!

Halloween Fun

On Halloween we took Adrie around to see her grandparents/greatgrandparents and to a church function with Bryan, Shelby and Tugg (My sister and fam). Adrie as you could see was a beautiful butterfly and Tugg was the cutest skunk you ever did see. Too fun.

10 & 11 Month Chair Pics

Adrie has grown so much in the last couple of months. She is solid as a rock as always and weighs about 20 lbs. I'm not sure how long she is, but she has graduated from being measured laying down to standing up. Big girl. She started walking at the end of October and by the end of November was running. She can now crawl up into her mini rocking chair, turn around and sit down. She'll read books in her chair or just cozy with her dolly or blanky. She is so funny too. We are closing in on her 1st birthday this weekend. Time flies when you are having fun.
