A Cherished Moment and a Sad Story
First for the cherished moment. As most of you are aware, Adrie is the least snugly person I know with Conan coming in at a close second. As I put her to bed last night she wasn't quite ready so I picked her up with her sippy and blanky and rocked her as her piano music played. I'm always careful to not start any bad habits, but decided to cherish this time with Adrie as she is nearly 18 months and these moments will get to be less and less as she gets older. Well, I only rocked her for about 10-15 minutes until her body began to feel limp and her breathing slowed. As I put her down tears came to my eyes and I felt so super blessed to be her mommy. What a special moment. I then pulled her covers up and closed her door. As I went to sit on the couch next to Conan with drool on my shoulder and a smile on my face, I couldn't think of a better Mother's Day gift. I love my little girl. Now for the sad story. There is a gal I go to church with who has 3 children. Her oldest is adopted, the middle girl is her foster child and the youngest is her biological son. They have had their middle girl since she was born and now it is time for her to go live with her biological grandparents and siblings. This tears me up considering she is Adrie's age and this is the only family she's ever known. The biological family hasn't ever even seen a picture of this darling child and now they have 3 days to become familiar with her before she goes to live with them in Colorado. So sad. I gave her mom a hug today and we both cried. I've only known her a short while, but being a mom and it being mother's day and all, my heart went out to her and her family. Please pray for them as this week is going to be very difficult for their family.

It was all fine and dandy until she got boo boos
Well the dandelions are sure in bloom. I take part of the blame for this. Along with the windy days I take Adrie out and encourage her to "make a wish" and blow the dandelion. She loves it. Now my dad has to mow the dandelions like every 3 days or so. In fact he's out doing that now. Sorry dad. Anyhow, Adrie had fun playing in the weeds until we went to cross the street to my grandma's house and she was running and fell skinning her hands and knees. Not once, but twice. She hated the band aid and kept licking her owies. Ewww!
"Outside"
The other day after Adrie got home from a long day at the "nanny house" (my sister's day care), she was filthy from head to toe, had sun block in her hair, food on her dress and dirty shoes and she was so mad she had to be home! She ran to the door and was crying "outside" and was so cute I couldn't resist snapping a few pics and trying to get her to smile by playing peek a boo. I had sent her to day care with black leggins on, but it was too hot and they were stripped off early. Check out how short this 2T dress is on her. "She's got legs....". Check out her jellies...love them!
Tugg Zander McQuinn
Here is my nephew Tugg. He's been making appearances on my blog a lot lately. He's just so darn cute and easy to photograph because he always has a smile on his face. I love this little guy so much and here are just a few reasons why. #1 he always has a smile on his face. #2 he makes funny noises with his mouth and spits slobber all over. #3 snuggles right into you when you pick him up. #4 knows no stranger. #5 has the cutest belly laugh when you can get him to do it. #6 is way easy to take anywhere (I actually prefer taking him to the grocery store over A hehe!) #6 he lights up when I enter the room. #7 says J.J at least I'm convinced he does. Like I said these are just to name a few reasons why this guy is my favorite little "buddy bear". I love you Tugg!

Any Advice?????
Okay, so for the past month or so Adrie has been testing my patience with her vocal capability. She started by "squealing" for fun but is now screaming to be naughty. I've tried lightly popping her mouth, but that doesn't work and breaks my heart. I've even tried screaming back which just about scared the pee out of her. At first I nearly died laughing but then felt bad for scarring her. Ignoring her works sometimes, but I want her to understand that naughty screaming is inappropriate. Thanks to mom and Conan for egging her on by laughing at her during her fun "squealing" times. Grrrrrrr and oooohhhh the challenges of raising a 16 month old.

Ignore Me...
I figured it out myself and love, love, love it! Hope you do too. Guess I just had to take a break to vent and I figured it out right away. Feeeeeewwww! I'm over it now. Except, now I'm not sure I like my new header. Maybe another day!
So Help Me...
Okay, so I'm sitting at my computer more than a little aggitated. I have been trying to edit my html so that I can choose and use different backgrounds for my blog layout. I've done everything I think I should be doing as far as editing the "body" in the html or whatever and it won't change on my blog. So for now until someone can HELP me you'll have to look at this layout. SORRY. P.S If Carly or Janelle can give me a hand or anyone else who knows how email me jayzee7@hotmail.com. Thanks!
