Christmas Letter and a BIG DUH Moment!

Here is our Christmas card and letter. I am running late this year and am running out of time and money. Being that stamps are practically 50 cents now and we are still not working, we figured we'd try to save a little. Hope you enjoy the letter and pics of Conan's graduation. Feel free to print it out if you wish. Merry Christmas to all. Oh and as for my duh moment. Cut and paste worked just dandy for this post. DUH!!!!

Season’s Greetings from the Fisher's

The year 2007 came and went with much happiness and hardship. It was a crazy year of raising a colicky baby, many visits from family and friends, losing my beloved Papa Bert, returning to work from maternity leave, raising a head strong baby, leaving our good friends to move to Oregon, Conan’s internship, Conan’s graduation, raising an independent baby, dealing with temper tantrums, being a stay at home mom, job interviews, living with my parents again and remodeling Conan’s office. Wondering all the while where the time goes now that I am a quarter of a century old, have been married for 3 ½ years and am raising a very busy 1 year old.

So as you can see we had quite the year and that’s just for starters. All in all we have become settled in our cozy hometown of Pendleton, Oregon and love being close to family. Though we miss our friends in California there is nothing like grandparents. Oh yeah, and free babysitting. Here’s what we are up to now….

Conan is currently working hard everyday trying to get his practice ready to open its doors by the end of January. He graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West on November 30th and is now officially Dr. Conan S. Fisher, D.C. I am so proud of him and his accomplishments. I look forward to seeing him bloom as a chiropractor and watching his practice grow. After 8 years of school all of his hard work will finally pay off.

As for me the year has been quite a blur. If I didn’t have the blog (http://www.fisherfam1.blogspot.com), my calendar, Adrie’s calendar, and pictures, I wouldn’t remember anything. I am currently a stay at home mom until the beginning of January. I then plan on going to work part time on night shift at St Anthony hospital. We’ll see how that goes. I’m just enjoying Adrie and every moment I get to spend with her before I go back to work. Boohoo!

Last but certainly not least…Miss Adrie. Where do I begin? She learns something new everyday and has grown so much in the last year. She began walking at 10 months and is now running mostly to escape getting dressed. She has 8 teeth and eats anything she can get her hands on. She says a handful of works such as yes, cracker, snack, hot, mommy (love it), da-da, gog (dog), duck and can bark like a dog, quack like a duck, blow kisses, wave, give hi-fives and go potty on the big girl potty. Developmentally she is very advanced both physically and mentally. Sometimes I feel like she is smarter than me. She loves bath time and would snuggle with her blanky all day if I let her. She loves to read books with mommy turning the pages herself of course, play blocks and roughhouse with da-da, play drums and piano with grammy and go on tractor rides with papa. And though not frequently enough she loves spending time with Grandma Carol and Grandpa Steve. What a fun girl she is.

I love my little family and am looking forward to what God has planned for 2008. I hope this letter finds all of you happy, healthy and blessed this holiday season. Here’s to a new year full of blessings and love.

Always, The Fisher Fam
