Update on Jay
Doing great! I had my surgery on Friday the 24th and that was an experience. I only had to take pain meds for two days following my surgery then switched to Motrin for a day or so. The pain in my neck was minimal for the most part unless I yawned or sneezed then watch out. The worst of it was the back of my neck and head. I don't even want to know what funky position they had me in for surgery though I have a pretty good idea. They only had to take out the right thyroid lobe because the frozen pathology came back negative for cancer cells, praise the Lord. However, they still have to slice and dice it up to test every last piece of it. My Dr. thinks it will all come back negative because the nodule was soft and spongy....gross huh? Poor Adrie, the first time she saw my "owie" she started crying and was acutally scared of me. Then she ran to the bathroom with my mom and got herself a Dora bandaid to put on her hand which stayed there for over 24 hours. Such a funny girl. All and all we are doing good and I am starting to feel human again as my mind, body and spirit heal. I tell ya what stress and anxiety does a number on you. I just had my first normal feeling day yesterday and I was able to whip out Adrie's halloween costume in just a few hours. I'll post pics later. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Sorry this is such a long update!

Thank goodness everything is looking alright! And thank goodness for modern medicine! I have a good feeling that Cameron and I would have both died during his birth without modern medicine and the nurses and doctors we have today.
