Modest......what's that?

Okay, so I'm sure that many mothers can relate to this one or maybe I'm just weird. Childbirth has stolen my modesty. I used to be the most modest person in the world and now I could care less who sees me naked. My poor dad has had to get used to this drastic change being that he was here for the birth (sitting in the corner staring at the wall) and has been here for all of the trials of early breast feeding. Though I feel bad for him, it is kind of funny to watch him avert his eyes away from me at feeding time. We've gotten to the point now that we just laugh at each other. Breast feeding has been less than fun for me and the baby. I am very sore and engorged. They are like two giant rocks and it just feels better to be without a shirt. I guess I should work on keeping the shirt on and trying to cover up a little bit or I'll never be able to take my baby out in public. One thing is for sure if I ever decided to put in an application at Hooters I'd be hired on the spot.

I feel your pain. When I went home for a few weeks, I had to cover up every time my dad walked in the room. Farrah and I both tend to get a little frustrated when we have to "cover up." Wouldn't it be an easier world if breastfeeding mothers could just "whip it out?"

Been there! It's hard to be around your little brother while breastfeeding during the holidays. May I suggest the "hooter hider" you can find them at the el camino gift shop or on line. It's a miracle for traveling and going out in public. Give it a try.

I am sure C is loving it! He he. I don't even like to think about that time. Not fun. And don't feel like you need a shirt. I think if you are sore and it feels better who cares???!!!

Your dad is the cutest thing, I think I have a crush on him. I loved how he had to tell me about every little part of Adries body while I held her, he could not help but be proud of you and your baby girl. As far as the other girls are concnered thank goodness for the breast pump for a little relief, stock up while you can, cause it does not last forever.

Modest whats that you and I both know you never really were that modest. Now you just have an excuse to be you. Remember all the times you needed the shower when I wasn't done. hehehe.
